January Newsletter

Your January 10' newsletter is here, and this month we will be discussing Hand/Eye Coordination.* Keeping sharp in the offseason by doing coordination drills will pay off when you tee it up in the spring. Good Hand/Eye coordination results in more solidly hit, more accurate and more powerful shots. Do the following drill all winter to keep your coordination in check:

  • Take a golf ball and your driver.
  • Hold your driver just a few inches from the neck of the clubhead with its face facing the sky.
  • Drop the ball on the clubface and tap it upward as many times as you can.
  • When you can tap the ball 10 straight times in a row, reverse hands and try to do the same with the opposite hand.
  • Once you accomplish 10 straight taps with each hand, gradually increase the distance between your hand and the clubhead.

Hand/Eye Coordination

This drill can be a little tough at first, but you will find it very beneficial in improving your hand/eye coordination for sharp ball striking.

Now go out and play better golf!
