January Newsletter
Your January 10' newsletter is here, and this month we will be discussing Hand/Eye Coordination.* Keeping sharp in the offseason by doing coordination drills will pay off when you tee it up in the spring. Good Hand/Eye coordination results in more solidly hit, more accurate and more powerful shots. Do the following drill all winter to keep your coordination in check:
- Take a golf ball and your driver.
- Hold your driver just a few inches from the neck of the clubhead with its face facing the sky.
- Drop the ball on the clubface and tap it upward as many times as you can.
- When you can tap the ball 10 straight times in a row, reverse hands and try to do the same with the opposite hand.
- Once you accomplish 10 straight taps with each hand, gradually increase the distance between your hand and the clubhead.

This drill can be a little tough at first, but you will find it very beneficial in improving your hand/eye coordination for sharp ball striking.
Now go out and play better golf!

"Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots; you get good breaks from bad shots - but you have to play the ball where it lies." - Bobby Jones
