June Newsletter
Your June 10' Newsletter is here, and this month we will be discussing Proper Top Hand Grip Position.* The grip often has been described as the most important fundamental in golf. Ben Hogan said, "A player with a bad grip doesn't want a good swing." The position of your top hand (left hand for a right-handed golfer) is the most critical in forming a correct golf grip. Here's how to check your Top Hand Grip Position:
- Look down at your top hand once you hold the club at address.
- Your grip is Incorrect if you can see the fingernails of your top hand.
- To fix this, rotate your top hand away from the target until your fingernails are hidden and the back of your hand is visible.
- If your grip is Correct, you should see two or three knuckles of your top hand when you look down.
- In addition, the V's formed by the thumb and forefinger on each hand should point between your right (rear) shoulder and chin.
Check your grip and adjust if needed. Grip the club easy with the proper grip and you are sure to hit the ball down the middle.

Now go out and play better golf!
