March Newsletter
Your March 11' Newsletter is here, and this month we will be discussing Proper Swing Plane.* It is perfectly fine to not have a "classic" backswing plane. However, many golfers get into trouble by being way too steep on their backswing. Here is a great drill to help give the feel of a proper swing plane:
- Take your right hand and hold your left wrist.
- Now swing the club to the top of your backswing.
- This prohibits you from swinging your left arm too upright, which means your left arm is closer to your head than to your right shoulder (see illustration).
- This drill also keeps the right elbow in the correct position at the top, and places the left arm more across the chest.
Ingrain this feel of the correct position into your real swing.

Now go out and play better golf!
